Bath’s historic Cleveland Pools is opening its gates for a special Open Day as part of Bath’s Heritage Open Days, offering a chance to step inside the site and hear what comes next for Britain’s oldest surviving public outdoor swimming pool.

The Pools reopened in 2023 following a major restoration project, but were forced to close after flooding from the River Avon caused significant damage in early 2024. Since then, the Cleveland Pools Trust has been working to regain control of the site and understand what will be needed to bring it back into community use.

Now the Trust is inviting people back to meet its volunteers and Trustees, explore the site and join the conversation about the future of the Pools and their eventual reopening.

It’s a rare opportunity to get inside one of Bath’s most fascinating historic spaces and support the next chapter of this much loved local landmark.
