Commencing: a beautiful mess about giving unexpected things a chance. Kelli's hopeful for a blind date, only to be disappointed when it turns out her date, Arlin, is a woman- which wouldn't be an issue...

If Kelli wasn't straight. Instead of a candlelit dinner, the night dissolves into a witty, alcohol-fuelled dissection of gay and straight culture, stereotypes, and the misunderstandings between them. What begins as frustration becomes something funnier, messier, and more honest.

Through thirsty confessions, humour and desperation, both characters discover that even in disappointment, people can still be charming- and that beginnings often arrive disguised as mistakes. Written by Jane Shepard Image by Meg Funtek Presented and performed by Ash Bleasdale & Rennie Singh
