Shoemakers Museum is a brand new visitor experience in Street, Somerset, opening its doors in 2025 to celebrate two centuries of shoemaking heritage. This family friendly attraction tells the story of Clarks through the voices of the people who made it, bringing craft, community and local history to life on the site where it all began. With a remarkable collection of more than 100,000 objects, the museum showcases its highlights across four galleries: Welcome to Street, Making Shoes, Selling and Buying, and Fossils. It’s a place for everyone to rediscover favourite shoes, meet the makers and share memories shaped by footwear.
