Although very different works, Scáling and Supernature are connected by a shared intensity of attention and a total commitment to the task at hand.
Scáling - a duet with Czech dancer Markéta Stránská, is built through the continually changing relationship between two different bodies. Every movement proposes another adjustment, another negotiation, another possibility. Difference is never resolved. The dance is exacting in its attention to what is happening between the performers, moment by moment.
Supernature - brings that same commitment to a body on its own. It moves through shifting states of wild physicality, possession, humour, awkwardness and transformation. The body that appears is never settled. It is continually arriving, continually redefining itself, revealing something only for it to change again.
