LGBTQ+ art and fashion project run by Tatu Vuolteenaho and Jani Maunula which “aims to channel social climate by highlighting the spiritual and cultural heritage of LGBTQ+ community, especially its feminine values and alternative lifestyles”

The art of Rainbow Magic aims to positively breaks boundaries between common norms and beliefs. The project will strengthen diversity, human rights and will rise the spirit of international Queer community.

RAINBOW MAGIC opening party Friday 3 July 5-10pm There will be a special opening party featuring Techno and House music plus Crumporium will be there selling their tasty crumpets and there will be drinks available from House Long Drink whilst they last. It’s a free party but bring cash for donations to support Bristol Pride!

Rainbow Magic events create more empathetic, diverse and inclusive, but mostly safe visual environment for everyone entering the exhibition space. Tatu and Jani have previously held events in Finland, Estonia and Spain and now showcase works in Bristol at the The Island Gallary.

Rainbow Magic weekender is a special showcase of Queer Witches portraits by Artist and Drag queen Tatu Vuolteenaho (Madrid) – Tatu will be wearing fashion designs by Julian Smith(Margate) there will be video projections by audio visual artist and Music producer Indigo (Helsinki) and a fashion print installation by Textile and print designer Jani Maunula (Bristol) and local creatives Interdisciplinary artist mÉlanffro (Bristol). They will also be joined by special guests for the event.

This event is supported by the Bristol Pride community fund.

Rainbow Magic is also part of European Capital of Culture 2026 summer programme.
