wassail-top-Blessing

A warm, loud and joyfully Somerset celebration returns as Heartwood Chorus lead a traditional Wassail to bless the apple trees with song, noise and plenty of community spirit. Everyone is invited to join the ceremony, shake off the winter chill and help wake the orchard for the year ahead. Bring pots, pans or anything that rattles to drive away bad spirits, then settle in with mulled cider, mulled apple and hot food.

Workshops, music and gentle chaos make this a brilliant family afternoon, with chances to craft, sing and take part in a ritual that’s been rooted in Somerset soil for centuries.
