Friendly Recs 10 years poster v9 (1)

Friendly Records have assembled an eclectic line up of DJ’s including DJ Krust, IDLES, DJ Format, Andy & Nancy Smith, Claude Cooper, Heavenly Jukebox, ZEE & Ethos and Friendly Records DJs. The line up includes Bristol legends like DJ Krust, IDLES and Andy Smith as well as introducing newcomers ZEE & Ethos (just 18 years old!) who’ll be making their debut DJ/MC performance, and friends from further afield including the brilliant DJ Format from Brighton and the mighty Heavenly Jukebox. As always the Friendly Records DJs will be in attendance and there’ll also be a rare set from the illusive Claude Cooper. You’ll also get the chance to be the first to try the new Friendly Records beer brewed by Lost And Grounded!

All proceeds from the IDLES ‘Charity Merch Sale’ which will include some rare t-shirts and other items, Geoff Barrow’s ‘Special Raffle’, and a Friendly Records specific event t-shirt will be going to the brilliant War Child charity, with further donations made from Lost And Grounded.

War Child is the only specialist charity for children affected by conflict. For more than two decades, they’ve been driven by a single goal – ensuring a safe future for every child living through war. They aim to reach children as early as possible when conflict breaks out and support them long after the cameras have gone. They deliver life-changing services and support in communities affected by conflicts to keep children safe and help them to heal and learn for the chance of a better future.

Friendly Records is the Bedminster based record shop and label that have now been serving vinyl and good times to the city of Bristol for 10 years! In that time as well as selling records and their distinctive merchandise they’ve set up their own record label that's seen a series of vinyl releases in aid of the War Child charity that have included Portishead, PJ Harvey, IDLES, Sleaford Mods, Hot Chip, Beak> and more. Alongside those releases have been several live charity events which have included performances from Portishead, IDLES, Billy Nomates and others compered by comedian Stewart Lee and actor Paul McGann. These events and vinyl releases have raised over £250,000 for War Child UK with more releases and events planned in 2026. In 2021 Friendly Records was one of only five shops in Bristol to sell the Banksy designed t-shirts in aid of the ‘Colston Four’.
