Kate Talbot, is a Leeds and Central St Martins graduate of fine art and illustration. Her work starts out of deconstruction, breaking it into components and bringing the parts together to form a whole. She works mainly in wool, lightweight cotton, fabric, wire and thread. Often political in manner, some of the work almost makes itself! Kate is also heavily influenced by her love of vintage comics and we see this particularly in her food and menopause card range.

She has keen interest in unfairness and her work is often driven by ‘need’ rather than aesthetic. Recognising that people seemed to really appreciate a humorous approach to dark times, and seeing a gap in the market for her style of art and humour, Kate came to the conclusion that as much as she loves being 'hands on' and making every piece individually, utilising photoshop and printing her artwork as more practical gifts was a sensible way to reach a wider audience. In 2019 her gift range of cards, mugs, tea towel and tote bags was born.
