Join this unique Regency-style craft workshop to celebrate Jane Austen's 250th birthday with a menu of crafts to choose from.

This is a charming two-hour session where you can learn a new skill and create your own beautiful souvenir. Enjoy a creative experience just as Georgian ladies would have done. Choose one of the following delightful craft projects to make during the workshop:

  • Embroider an original Regency 'sprig' design, or your favourite Austen quote!
  • Carve a lino block and print your own miniature portrait of Miss Austen, based on her sister Cassandra's famous sketch.
  • Create a beautifully realistic crepe paper flower using Italian crepe paper.
  • Block print your own sprigged cotton tea towel or mini tablecloth.
  • Collage an atmospheric scene of North Parade Passage, one of Bath's most characterful streets.

This workshop is hosted either upstairs at Persephone Books, 8 Edgar Buildings, or at Hidden Store on Pierrepont Place in Bath. Your expert teacher will guide you through your chosen activity, ensuring you have a relaxing and enjoyable time.

You’ll leave this welcoming session with a wonderful handmade keepsake, and the satisfaction of having celebrated a literary icon in a truly creative way!
