Author of Cider With Rosie, Laurie Lee, gave very few interviews during his life. David Parker managed to breakthrough that wall, resulting in a swathe of footage where Laurie Lee talks about his childhood, his love of music, and the huge influence of the Southwest countryside that he grew up in.

A rare encounter with a beloved author, whose work has left an indelible mark on generation. Laurie’s poetic musings on the four seasons as experienced in the British countryside, will be accompanied by the Bristol Ensemble, fittingly playing Vivaldi’s Four Seasons and other complimenting works. Interspersing live music with engaging archival film footage of Laurie Lee’s inspirations, memories, life and poetry.
