The Loco Klub is Bristol’s subterranean playground for the theatrically inclined and the sonically adventurous. Tucked beneath Temple Meads station, this venue occupies a warren of Brunel-built railway arches and the remnants of an old social club, now transformed into a multi-tunnel arts space that feels part speakeasy, part fever dream.  

Run by the ever-inventive Invisible Circus and Artspace Lifespace, Loco Klub is less a venue and more a vibe: immersive theatre, experimental cabaret, raucous club nights, and the occasional aerialist dangling from the rafters. It’s where you might stumble into a drag show mid-rave or find yourself watching a fire-breather between DJ sets. 

The venue’s layout is as eclectic as its programming: multiple tunnels with varying capacities and vibes, including a main stage tunnel that fits up to 400 for club nights, a traverse studio for immersive theatre, and a garden space for pre-show loitering. Accessibility is taken seriously, with step-free access, viewing areas, and a commitment to inclusivity.
