Shindig 2026 - Garden of Delights

Shindig Festival returns with a first wave line-up that leans confidently into the unexpected. Often likened to a pocket-sized Glastonbury Festival by Emily Eavis, it’s built a reputation for big sounds without the sprawl.

This round, the programme drifts between cult favourites and fast-rising names. Fat Dog crash together dance-punk and techno with little regard for neat categories, while Snapped Ankles deliver something more primal for late-night wanderers. Funk outfit WAR arrive with a catalogue of era-defining tracks, and Chali 2NA brings that unmistakable baritone, now backed by a live band.

Dance music holds its ground, from Pola & Bryson’s drum & bass to disco and house selectors like Colleen ‘Cosmo’ Murphy and Aroop Roy. Stanton Warriors step in with a Rebel Bass takeover, and live acts such as MY BABY and TEKE::TEKE keep things pleasingly unpredictable.

Away from the stages, it’s less about rushing and more about drifting—art installations, low-key talks, good food and plenty for younger attendees. It remains a festival that doesn’t try too hard, which is largely the point.
