The Bristol New Writers Festival is a new literary event dedicated to celebrating creativity in its earliest stages.

It is a not-for-profit, writer-led initiative that aims to provide a welcoming space for emerging writers and complete beginners to explore the craft of writing, while also showcasing local talent.

With tickets ranging from free to £20, the festival offers affordable access to workshops, talks, a publishing fair featuring industry professionals, and a poetry open mic

The festival line-up features both established authors and emerging voices, including Sarah Dunant, Bertel Martin, Helen Taylor, Kitty Wilson, Adam Elms, Sophia Vahdati, Francesca Ramsay, and Mark Bowsher.

Partners include Artists & Writers (part of Bloomsbury Publishing), the Society of Authors, and the Society of Young Publishers (South West)
