Got a story to tell? Your voice deserves to be heard!
Podcasting is one of the most accessible, authentic ways to share your ideas with the world. Just you, a mic, and something you want people to know about.
This beginner-friendly workshop, led by Nigel Fryatt of POLYMATHIC, takes you from a spark of an idea to a fully recorded pilot intro in a single hands-on session. You'll learn how to find your story, script and plan your content, get comfortable behind the mic, and record a pilot show introduction in the podcasting studio at EMERGE.
EMERGE is a creative studio and residency programme based at Bath Spa University's Sion Hill campus. More than just a workspace, it's a creative incubator nurturing talent across art, design, performance, music, and creative media, making it the perfect setting to find your voice.
So why podcasting? There's something powerful about the spoken word. Through tone and delivery, listeners don't just hear what you're saying, they really feel it. Podcasting creates a connection that's hard to replicate in any other medium. And the best part? You're in full creative control. No commissioning editors. No barriers. Just your story, your voice, your way.
Nigel is a Founder and experienced audio producer whose credits span radio shows, festival podcasts, and technical production at leading world heritage sites. He brings warmth, encouragement, and a simple philosophy: give it a go.
