An iconic building in Bath. Originally designed by Sir Nicholas Grimshaw in 1976, Bath Spa University has spent the last few years revitalising this Grade lI listed building, and creating a new history for this iconic building. Grimshaw Architects have worked closely with Bath Spa University to transform the building into an extraordinary facility for artists and designers to flourish.
Facilities: The new building is open-plan, with large, adaptable spaces. It has a permanent gallery for the display of artwork, as well as a café.
There are large, open social areas with open-access computer facilities, presentation spaces, a rooftop pavilion for reflection and project work, plus an art shop that will promote student and graduate work.
