Bath’s annual sonic sprawl returns on Friday 16 May 2025, as Party in the City commandeers the Georgian streets for a night of free live music. This year’s edition promises over 2,000 performers across 39 venues, ranging from the hallowed acoustics of Bath Abbey to the more raucous corners of pubs and parks .
Expect a genre buffet: indie, funk, folk, jazz, choral, classical, and everything in between. Whether you’re into string quartets or sweaty guitar riffs, there’s a corner of the city with your name on it. Venues include Parade Gardens, Komedia, Green Park Station, and Queen Square, where stages and stalls will keep the energy high and the bar queues long .
