May Sunday Session

5 May, 12 - 4pm @ Rockaway Park [ Live Music , Food & Drink , Family ]

Vegan Roasts, Arts Market, Open Studios & Normal Magic

Rockaway Park's Sunday Sessions are a wonderful family-friendly event featuring open studios, a fantastic arts market with local independent artists, makers and crafters, delicious home-made vegan Sunday roasts and the wonderful Sarah Lewis and Tracey Calvert from Normal Magic offering free mental health advice - anonymous and off grid!.

For May's Sunday Session, Blue Midnight will be playing eccentric crossover tunes, with trombone reggae lines, violin folk melodies and fluid, solid bass. The band features Grant Showbiz, who spans the worlds of Gong, The Fall, The Smiths, Billy Bragg and Moodswings. Plus, Elliet Mackrell of Kangaroo Moon on violin, the wild trombone stylings of Nick Waterhouse, funky drummer Mike Fullick and special guest Justin Adams on guitar, who has played with Jah Wobble, Sinead O’Connor, Robert Plant, JuJu and many more.

The Vegan Café team will be serving Crispy Breaded Chickpea Cutlets, Sage & Onion Seitan Roast, 'Chicken' Pie and our classic Nut Roast. There's also a selection of delicious home-made cakes and savoury snacks, plus hot or cold drinks. Be aware that you'll need to book your Sunday roast in advance via the Vegan Café webpage by 7pm on Friday 3rd May, to help us avoid food waste. So, for all the details, including time slots, don't delay your booking!

This family-friendly event is free to attend, with a £5 fee for each vehicle. Any donations you're able to make in one of our donation buckets in the yard - from spare change or a couple of quid to more - will help Rockaway continue providing live music at our Sunday Sessions, and is very much appreciated. Thank you.
