In conjunction with Orlando Gough’s sound installation, Messums is offerings a contemplative Sunday afternoon walk accompanied by actor, Pippa Haywood. The walk will take us from the barn to the river Nadder, taking in the beautiful natural surroundings and will include moments to stop and savour the landscape, with poems read by Pippa. These poetic interludes will give us the chance to pause and reflect on our response to the landscape, the river and the open spaces of the environment and the mind.

This contemplative walk will begin and end in the barn taking in a stretch of the river Nadder, interspersed with poems and with an opportunity to listen to the Orlando Gough’s sound installation on returning to the barn before a chance to enjoy supper. Tickets available for walk and sound installation for £5 a head or a combined ticket including supper at 7:00pm for £40 per head.

Pippa Haywood is a local actor known to many for her performances in Greenwing, Bodyguard, The Brittas Empire, Prisoners’ Wives and most recently in The Doll Factory and Regime. She is a regular contributor to radio in comedy, drama and poetry programmes. Pippa is a keen walker and poetry lover and is delighted to be joining Messums for this Nadder de Nada walk with poems.
