Main Image

This image sits at the top of your event page.  It must be less than 4MB in size ideally with 1200 x 400 pixels in its dimensions. Please DO NOT upload images larger than this size, as we have to store thousands of images so need to have limits!

If your image has different dimensions this will result in automatic cropping.  It will favour the centre of the image when cropping which may look weird!  You have a chance to preview before submission.

🚨If your images aren’t uploading please check the dimensions are NOT greater than 1200 x 400 pixels for the Main Image.

TIP: For these main images, try to find something simple, with a single object  and avoid lots of text (such as event flyers - there’s a place for these below!)

Thumbnail Image

This image is a small square thumbnail image (200 x 200 OR 300 x 300) which will be used in search results. The image will be cropped automatically to a square, so it’s best if you upload a square image you like!  You have a chance to preview before submission.

🚨If your images aren’t uploading please check the dimensions are NOT greater than 300 x 300 pixels for the Thumbnail.

TIP: Thumbnails are very small (especially on a phone screen) so a simple, singular image without text on works best.

Flyer Image

The Flyer image can be used for an event flyer or poster. These will NOT be cropped so users will see the whole thing. Please ensure that both dimensions of the images are less than 800 pixels. The actual shape doesn’t matter, but neither side can be greater than 800 pixels! 

🚨If your images aren’t uploading please check the dimensions or both sides are less than 800 pixels and no more than 4MB in size.

Resizing images is simple with software freely available (and Preview installed on all Mac’s).
