Boat traders and creatives will set up shop at the pub across two days to showcase their talents and sell their wares. Previous Fayres have included demonstrations of heritage crafts such as blacksmithing, sign-writing and knot tying. Musicians, poets and comedians will have the space to perform on a stage, with a lineup of performers across the weekend set to keep punters entertained.
Alongside the Floating Fayre is The Barge Inn's own summer craft and gift market in the barn adjacent to the Fayre, where there will be more local traders and goods to enjoy.
Hillary Thompson, who organises The Barge Inn Craft and Gift Market said: “We were very pleased to join forces with the Floating Fayre last year to make a huge summer weekend of craft and entertainment. Crafts people, small independent makers and artists will be there to draw in the crowds and we are very much looking forward to this year's event.”
Floaty Boat team member Laura Darling said: “The Fayre gives liveaboard Boater traders a platform to sell their work and make a living on the canal.
“It's also a chance to see old friends, make new ones and connect with the local land-based community for a day of sharing Boater culture, craft and trade.”
