Sol Bakery & Café is an organic bakery and coffee house located on the A303 just outside Chicklade, Wiltshire. Sol was started by two Argentine friends who are passionate about excellent bread and great coffee and believe that stopping to eat should be a highlight of any journey.

They bake organic sourdough bread, cinnamon buns and focaccia daily and create extraordinary sandwiches for the weary traveler and local clientele. Sip a delicious coffee and slice of cake or stop for breakfast and enjoy fresh home made brioche buns filled with local smoked bacon, sausage and eggs. 

As good Argentines they also offer delicious traditional empanadas and some with an English twist. We wouldn’t be able to serve them without homemade chimichurri...

They aim to work with suppliers no further than 10 miles away and celebrate seasonal produce. 

They also have a fabulous dog walking field, safe for dogs to run around and stretch their legs when on the road.
