A chance to come together as a region and discuss, vision and plan for the future of our bioregion. Join us at our riverside studio space!

We Are Avon Strategy and Visioning day

Come join us for our Strategy and Visioning day where we'll come together as a movement to envision and plan the next steps of We Are Avon.

This in-person event is a great opportunity to connect with fellow River, land and bioregion enthusiasts - to share ideas, input into our upcoming strategies, directions and build this movement together.

Let's brainstorm together and shape the future of our Avon. A delicious local lunch will be provided from regenerative organic farms of the region. And we will of course spend some time next to the inspiring River themself.

We are so excited to bring this wider movement and its many beautiful projects and guardian groups together. We invite everyone who is curious about landscape and river regeneration: all stakeholders, local organisations, river-lovers, farmers, stewards, and everyday people who care about their places and want to work together towards a more beautiful and flourishing future.

Structure of the day:

  • 10.30-11.00
Arrive and landing with welcome hot drink & pastry (from local Basil's Bakery)

  • 11.00-12.00 STORY SO FAR (facilitated by Hamish Evans)
Overview of the day session and the story so far of Avon
Short presentation on current progress and mission / structures

  • 12-1.15 VISIONING FOR THE FUTURE OF AVON (led by Dan Burgess)

Short meditation to the future of Avon
Break out groups in the work areas:

    1) Food & Land hub
    2) Landscape/bioregion
    3) River Guardianship & movement
    4) other work strands e.g. role of the arts, public health & clean water, farm clusters, deep mapping

A delicious Lunch by the River Avon, sourced from local organic and regenerative farms
