The Inaugural BARF Festival presents an all day event celebrating the alternative music scene of Bath, featuring;

Bureau De Change

Flora, Will, Connor, and Louis have been playing all over the UK and Europe with other industry darling projects and have come together to create a sound that truly stands out amongst the ever-growing and developing UK post-punk scene.

Bite The Buffalo

Fuzz-Riddled and Thunderous rock by brother Duo.

Kill Mirror Image

Fast & Loose Post-Punk Trio.

Sergeant Thunderhoof

The Hoof formed in the latter stages of 2013 by sheer accident. With no intentions of starting a new musical project, all the members had worked with each other in previous bands over the years and were at a point in their lives where they just wanted to get together for a jam and not take anything too seriously. What transpired was a debut LP (Zigurat) which took everyone, including the band by surprise. They had hit upon a sound which incorporated their love of dark, brooding, soulful grooves, super rich melodies and thick, fuzzy low end rhythm sections.

The Setbacks

Formed in Bath from the ashes of Mighty Joe Young and Tweaker around autumn 2001, playing our first gig in July 2002. Give or take the odd line-up adjustment, we have since played with the Misfits, UK Subs, TSOL, Lagwagon, D.O.A, Discgharge, The Outcasts, The Pack, Subhumans, Vice Squad, TV Smith, Richie Ramone, The Avengers, The Vibrators, Horrorpops, Goldblade, 999, Sham 69, Splodgenessabounds, XSLF, Midway Still, and Citizen Fish, to name (drop) but a few.

Battery Acid

Are a 4 piece alt/rock band from the UK. With influences of folk, punk and metal, they have cultivated a unique sound, putting their own spin on the genre. Their combination of grungy guitar tones, catchy chord progressions and haunting melody lines brings a new breath of life to the rock scene

Future Plan

Drawing comparisons to first wave punk acts such as The Damned and The Jam, Trowbridge-based noise-makers Future Plan developed into their current form as a trio in 2025. While they’re no newcomers to the scene, the band draw upon their years of experience and fervent passion for music to create a fresh spin on punk, art rock and grunge.

Spiderhoney

Driven purely by the urge to create, Spiderhoney are a band born out of burnout. But don't let their laidback tunes fool you — dig a little deeper and you'll hear the grit beneath the surface. Inspired by artists like Courtney Barnett and Fontaine's D.C, the alt-rock group tells everyday stories of work, sleep and stress. Focused on creating for the sake of creating, Spiderhoney hits back against the hustle culture of modern life.

Meraki Route

Fuse hip-hop rhythms, jazz looseness, and punk urgency into a raw, genre-defying sound driven by instinct, tension, and intent — music that hits hard, grooves deep, and doesn’t play by the rules.
