Open Farm Sunday 2024-1

Beyond the gallery site, Durslade is a working farm. This June, we will be joining over 200 farms across the UK for Open Farm Sunday – an annual initiative celebrating the diversity of British farming and the many ways in which the countryside can be farmed, foraged, and maintained.

For this year’s Open Farm Sunday, we’ll take you on a tour of the wider farm on our tractor and trailer. Accompanied by one of our team members, you'll visit the cattle and sheep and learn about the various breeds we rear. You’ll also discover more about our crops and how we farm here in Somerset.

In the afternoon, head out on a tractor and trailer ride to our vineyard, where you can learn more about our wines and how we care for the vines.

Hop back onto the tractor and trailer and return to Durslade Farm, where you'll have the opportunity to meet some of our local suppliers and sample the products we create – from our wine and cider to our preserves and foraged goods.

In the old farmyard, a workshop to make your own bath fizz, workshops from Wild Joy, join Jenna Doodles & Sing-a-ling for farm-themed children's activities and music circles. Enjoy live music from Ninotchka throughout the day.

This event is free to attend, but places on the farm tours, foraging walks, and vineyard visits are limited. Slots can be booked in advance, and we will also have spaces available on the day for walk-ins.

Open Farm Sunday takes place from 11 am – 4 pm.

Roth Bar will be open, serving drinks from 10am – 5pm. Da Costa will be open as usual from 12pm – 4pm.

Please note that photographs will be taken at this event for use on the Roth Bar & Farm Shop website, social media and in other marketing materials.
