The much-loved Forest of Imagination is aiming to take over the old Entry Hill Golf Course in Bath this September, offering a unique blend of creativity, nature, and community engagement to new and familiar audiences.
This year’s theme, Imagining the Future of the Forgotten Land, responds to the climate emergency by reimagining Entry Hill as a vibrant, temporary Art and Nature Park — a creative proof of concept for a more permanent space connecting arts, ecology and community.
Now in its twelfth year, Forest of Imagination is a free, contemporary arts festival that turns overlooked and everyday places into fantastical environments where art, nature, and play come alive. Entry Hill — a hidden green wonderland of woodlands, grasslands and sweeping views — will be transformed into a magical landscape of interactive installations, trails, outdoor performances and hands-on workshops for all ages.
Each of the old golf course’s ‘greens’ will host a creative installation, inviting families, schools and curious minds to explore, reflect, and imagine the site’s future. This free, inclusive, immersive experience brings together artists, educators, environmentalists and local communities to co-design nature-based experiences that celebrate creativity, sustainability and connection.
