I'm a foraging teacher based in North Dorset, with a passion for wild food and drink. Each foraging walk is unique, responding to the fungi which are in season at the time.
We begin with a sample of medicinal mushroom tea and an introduction to the various types of fungi and how they grow, then discuss safe and sustainable foraging.
We'll explore Edmondsham Woods, stopping to identify, sample and chat about various species along the way; discussing their properties, history and folklore.
Please bring your own picnic lunch, which will be supplemented by wild-flavoured snacks and seasonal drinks along the way.
The walk will be at a gentle pace and terrain includes muddy footpaths and wet pastures. Children under 10 are free of charge and young people aged 10-18 are welcome at the concession rate.
