Join us for a full day of foraging, preserving and cooking over fire in a tranquil and secluded woodland on the outskirts of Chettle.
We'll harvest Spring greens from the meadows and Wild Garlic from the woods, gathering enough to cook up back at the campsite. We'll prepare the food together and cook some of the dishes over the campfire.
We'll feast together on the food we've prepared, which will be supplemented by wild-flavoured preserves and drinks.
After lunch we'll create a batch of Wild Garlic pesto together and demonstrate other methods of preservation such as salting and pickling. Everyone will receive a jar of Wild Garlic pesto to take home, and other preserves will be available to purchase.
Due to the long duration, this event is not suitable for children or under 18s- please see my other events for shorter foraging walks.
